This Conference will be a great opportunity to share different approaches coming from academis experts, International and European Officials and Regional representatives on the main key factors and bottlenecks that different types of regions have in their path to social and economic development.
I am glad to have been invited to present the case study of Asturias, entitled by the OECD as quasi-lagging region, regarding the evolution experienced during the period 1999-2008 in its main key growth factors.
